I made and tested out my version of the ghost last weekend. I patterned mine after the newer version that @Sgt Rock made using a string to create the footbox rather than the sewn fabric. I added multiple pullouts to play with the placement. The construction of the pullout are was 10-inches of 1" grossgrain folded over and sandwiched in 1/2" rolled hem. 5/8" gross grain loops were inserted into the grossgrain/ripstop hem and folded back over itself. The hem was then triple stitched. Each of the pullouts was reinforced with additional stitching (X pattern). The only problem is that the loop I sewed into the hem pulled out (see picture below). Any thoughts on how I can better stitch/reinforce the pullout?

Exactly.... I saw that yesterday and thought it look like a simple, light, and durable solution. Maybe a half circle of nylon sewn on the hammock could help too if it looks like there is stress on the edge.

Since it appears the stitches ripped out...more stitches/stronger thread. what thread did you use?

Edit...After looking up the video and seeing how the tabs are used, I agree that the more inline pull provided by the WB style might be the way to go. It also gives more space to use more stitches/stronger thread.

I agree, the WB method seem to make more sense with the direction of load. Once I dial-in the final placement, I'll rework it with this design.

Could someone please explain how the side Spectra cord is configured? Sgt Rock has a foot box design that uses a cord to pull tension along the right side of the hammock. I couldn't catch how he set that up. I got lost when he pulled on the string and showed the mason line stopper knot.

I ran a length of 200 pound fishing line from both ends. On the long side there is a standard channel like you would make for any drawcord on a stuff sack or a knotty mod. On the other end the cord runs through a channel at the top of the curtain.
