Nice job.. How did ya make it?
Looks like a winner! What did you use for the skeg and how did you attach it?
I used a piece of 1 1/4 angle aluminum that I cut down to length that I got at menards. Then I beveled the edge to be bolted to the bottom of the sled, countersunk 3 #10 machine screws into the aluminum and through the bottom of the sled and secured with stainless fender washers and locking nuts.
I used a jetsled Jr. as a base. Made the tow rods out of 1/2 in 5 foot long electric fence rods. I plasti-welded 1/2 in schedule 80 pipe on each end to attach bindings for belt and sled. I drilled 4 holes in the front decking for the pole attachment and put brass grommets in them. I made some 1 inch polypro webbing tie downs and bolted them to the top of the sled using #10 stainless machine screws, washers and locknuts.

Well heeled pulk there. Those shoulder straps will come in handy for sure. Did you get the harness from somewhere or make it?
Shug
Whooooo Buddy)))) All Secure in Sector Seven
Its an old german military surplus webbing harness that I got years ago for paintball/airsoft and I am using it as is. No mods necessary. It came with several flectarn camo pouches, one of which is the perfect size for a nalgene and one that is perfect for camera stuff, snacks, etc. I think it was 10 bucks back in the day. Its fairly light and already had the grommets needed for attaching the poles. Most importantly, it has quick adjust buckles so you can cinch it down as you shed layers.
I can't get the link on your project to work for me. I get a message saying the access is restricted. Is this a donating members only area?More on the project here.
