Seam sealing an Old Man Winter?

I just ordered one of these tarps. Has anyone found that they need to be seam sealed. Marty at WL said that with the French seam they use that normally they don't have issues but he suggested that I ask on here.

    Thanks in advance!

There was just a thread about this on WL tarps in general. Think we had 1 person say they sprung a leak in a downpowr but all the others who had it in bad weather said it worked like a dream.

I just got one too and I'm not gonna seal mine until I find a reason to.

    Hope this helps.

I seamed sealed mine, before I found out everybody else didn't,,no leaks,,but,,if I had found all the posts about not seam sealing it,,I never would have. Its no biggie, whatever floats your boat as seam sealing doesn't hurt anything and is only a insurance that there is no leaks for sure.

Just got my WL Big Daddy today .. It's up right now.. I'll be seam sealing it although it looks like it doesn't need it ... we have rain coming this weekend so I'm going to see what it does .. but I like to be sure so I will seal it before I hike with it no matter what it does when I test it in the rain
