What kind of line could this be?

It looks like zingit. Feels like no tangle line.

I was walking my dog over by the atheletic fields and in the brush outlining the park all the leaves have cleared and you can see what was lost during the summer.

So kicking around, I found a large yellow spool handreel chalk full with this stuff. It's definitely a hardcore kite spool.. it was kind of like a lint roller with a toggle opposite the handle end to reel in your kite.

Did a quick search and found that dyneema is common as kite line as well as other types and varrying lb-age. This stuff is neon green, haven't been able to find any other kite line like it so far to even begin to determine what it is. I'm trying to figure out if this line will work as guylines for my tarp.

I'm thinking since it was a boss reel and not a whimpy one hander that it probably had a larger kite on it.. and really my tarp is just a giant kite that hopefully never gets to fly.. What do you all think?

Sounds like a kite line for sure. Can you post a pic of the line and the spool. I've done a little bit with larger kites. But this line does not sound familiar right off.

    I've got an idea

    Slo,
I'm sure you could use it for your hammock suspension...

... as long as the camera's runnin' when you get in!!!

Seriously, though, good find. How much do you think is on the spool??

Mason's line comes in lime green. I have seen it used on jobsites as surveyor's line.

did not know this. It's definitely no tangle line and I've cranked on it and I have yet to find out how much it takes to break it, hurts my hand before that.

Great score for you if you can use it as a tarp line. Sounds like you have just enough.

Yeah Veto, it was a good score, how random. Just got a new tarp on saturday and was deciding what to use in lieu of zing-it.. and go figure I've been living right and found some near identical stuff.
