Okay guys sports chalet has a 550 fill 20* kelty bag for 82 dollars. Cut it down the bottom seam it up with some shock cord loops and u got a decent pack able underquilt for non gram weenies

Great idea, if only I wasn't a gram weenie...If you do the same with the top half I suspect you could get two UQ's out of one sleeping bag or maybe even a UQ and a TQ, depending on how skinny you are.
