This is off the Jacks web site:
The Jacks ‘R’ Better, LLC Weather Shield, Type 2, or WS2, is an extremely simple design with great flexibility. It is nominally a 62 by 80 inch rectangle of material. Actually, it is two panels of silicone impregnated rip stop nylon separated by a center panel of Durable Water Resistent (DWR) 1.1 ounce ripstop nylon.

So my thinking is, couldn't you slit open one end of the weathershield and use some kind of insulating material between the internal panels as a multi-season UQ? The Weathershield alone would probably be ok for summer use, but slide some kind of Pad or Insulation between the layers for colder weather. An adjustable loft UQ, if you will. Crazy? Been done b4? I thought I'd seen threads in the past similar to this idea, but I'm having trouble finding them. And, at $55.95 during trail days, I don't know if I could make it cheaper.
