    Hi from Toronto

    Hi Everyone,

I'm not a completely dedicated hanger. I switch between hammock, tent and bivy, although I'm using the bivy less and less.

I've been lurking on this site on and off for a number of years now and thought it's time to say hi. I've looked at the posts and gotten lots of useful information over the years. You are a great community and hopefully, I can contribute. Thanks.

    Mongrel

    Greetings Mongrel

Welcome from another Ontario Hanger that is just a little east of you. If you are winter equipped in your insulation and shelter, there is a winter (hopefully) group hang taking place on Jan. 7th, 2012 at Valens Conservation area. Details can be found here. Even if you just come out for the day to visit everyone and see their gear. It is always great to meet another hammock hanger.

    Cheers

    Brian

    Hey Mongrel.

Welcome aboard from another Torontonian (downtown)!!!

You might want to take up BrianWillan's suggestion, even if only for the afternoon and dinner around a fire. We had a couple of day-trippers out with a few weeks ago and it was a good chance to meet new people and see new gear.

If you're into hiking or canoeing, keep your eyes open for one of our canoeing hangs. We've been up to Algonquin three times in little over a year!! Not bad!

    Cheers
