what the heck is 2qzq and where do you get it done? Also, if you don't have a zipper along the bug net isn't it impossible to toss the bug net back and use it as a chair (on a HH)?

To chime in with a slightly different angle...

We bought my girlfriend an Hennessy Explorer Asym Classic (bottom entry) from REI to try out.

She found that, for some reason (our theory is the bottom entry velcro) she felt like there was a ridge going up the center of the hammock that she couldn't get comfortable on... like the bottom of the hammock was shaped like a W. Might just be her, or that individual hammock, or user error, but she didn't like it at all and we promptly returned it.

I have a Warbonnet Blackbird that she likes waaaay better. Could be the Blackbirdiness... could be the side zip (instead of bottom entry).

    best of both!
This is exactly what I did. I am now waiting for Christmas money to order a 2QZQ mod.

I really enjoy the bottom entry because I can quickly escape from the mosquitoes which swarm hardcore in my areas. But I really want to get the zipper modification because then I can cook breakfast right from my hammock.

I would suggest getting the bottom entry, and think about modding later on. This way you have the best of both worlds.

i can add to everything everybody else has said on here about 2q & zq, my girlfriend had them add the zipper mod to her hyperlite and the workmanship was better than factory......extremely good work......and quite affordable especially when you start looking at zipper prices

one other thing, she overpaid on accident and when she got her hammock back there was change with it for the overpayment, speaks volumes for 2q & zq
