Smee, I'd be curious to see if your BMB sales go up. I think the hammock article/sales increase is the equation many of us are curious about.

did he say the BMB and the Hudson are about 3 lbs together?

    ALCON,

The BMBH is 33 oz complete... The HR is 20 oz... The JRB Suspension System is 1 oz... Total 54 oz or 3.4 lbs

The article on the on line magazine leaves a lot to be desired....But it was nice that they posted a light hearted honorable mention review....

Those of you with more than a few hangs see their misteps on the hammock...Equally, the UQ is hung totally wrong.... But hey JRB is happy they at least commented.

FTR, Backpacker was furnished one of the first BMBH (before the later developed JRB Tri-Glides) a Hudson River Quilt along with a No Sniveller Quilt with FLOT and a DTEPC....Ever if they are never reported out on, they should get included in the 2009 Gear Guide next March.

BTW, JRB has invited Backpacker to stop by our booth at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Show in Utah this August where Jrb will be an exhibitor.... Hopefully, we can cantinue the process of their education on hammocks.

We dropped a press packet by their booth; but alas, they never made it to us.... BPL did, Kayaker did, a free lance west coast outdoor writer did...Incidentally we left an additional half dozen press packets at the press room... sooooo, there is no tellin where or when some hammock and or JRB press might show.... first to spot any please post a heads up.

BTW that was one really big show.

Also FWIW there are now four brick and mortar locations carrying JRB gear.... check them out if in your area....Ohio, GA, LA, VA.... list here...http://www.jacksrbetter.com/retailshops.htm

I guess BPM still thinks hammocks are backyard toys, as their previous reviews and comments by their "knowledgeable" staff have revealed. They won't take it seriously until Hillary, Marmot or MTR start making gear for hammocks/hammocks. Oh wait, now that Eureka is announcing plans......

    I'm glad I don't read that drivel.
