When I first got my ENO I was pushing 300 lbs. I'm lighter now but have been in my ENO with my wife and I have amsteel running in my end channels. I wouldn't worry too much about any stress points. The hammock fabric and the amsteel should be fine as long as you have proper bury lengths on your fixed loops.

If you like a lot of sag you should start be setting up with your RL a little less taut and maybe eventually shorten your RL. If the RL is too tight you should lengthen your suspension a wee bit.

The picture gmcttr showed is similar to how I have done mine except my RL is under the larkshead. The upside to the way gmcttr has done it is the RL is easily removed. Incorporating it in the larkshead requires more work to remove.

Thanks guys a bunch. Thats pretty much spot on with what I was trying to get across. I think I will give this a try and see how it goes. Thanks for the boost of confidence in my decision making.

Anyone try one line for the rl and whoopies? I am thinking one long piece of amsteel with say clove hitches attaching to the hammock and the running end burrying into the line just a bit past the hitches... Man is it ever hard to use words for these things... Alternate description - a line with whoopies at both ends and space enough between burries to be the ridgline.
