    Thumbs up Massachusetts Winter Hang

I haven't been on in quite a while so sorry to everyone that has been looking for me. Not having Internet sucks big time.

Anyways a friend of mine and I are doing a Winter Camp-out and have listed it on Geocaching.com as an event for all.

I am cordially inviting any hammockers that want to join us as well, and surprisingly there are quite a few hammockers that Geocache as well.

The date is Jan. 21st 2012 in Mt. Washington State Forest here in Massachusetts. N 42° 05.480 W 073° 29.231

I would love to see some other hammockers there besides myself and a friend who might come along and use one of my 3 hammocks.

If you would like to read more go to http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache...6-530c6a208223 and you can read more about it as well as the GPS coords.

You dont have to creat an account to read the info if you dont want to.
Let me know you are going to be able to make just by posting it here. I have very limited Internet but I can now get some on my phone since I have a new one that lets me get limited Internet.

I am also doing a SPAM cookoff as well during it, and there will be a trophy for the winner LOL.

Hope to see other hammockers there.

Sorry if I am breaking a rule that says I cant list another website with info. If so let me know, and I will copy and paste all that info here.

No, bri thought we were doing it becouse that was one location we talked about going and no one gave hime the new location untill he saw the listing. I thought it would be good to go someplace new for us to go.

So far im the only confermed hammock camper going. :-(

I thought that the SPAM cookoff would be the big sell for this camp out LOL

Sorry Otis, not a NEHHA Winter Hang, but we could do one early Feb if others want to. We can do it up on Greylock if that sounds good to you and the others.

Just wanted to post about the weekend camp out. It got down to about -5 and it was a great time.

No one slept soundly as it was so cold... but the way I understand it, I slept the best because my buddy said I was snoring 90 percent of the night away. I guess I only do that when I am sleeping very good.

The other 3 said that they couldn't get a good nights rest because they rolled off there mats, every time they moved they touched the cold ground, and it was just to dam cold for them. LOL

I think I didn't get to cool untill about 5am when the temps hit the -5 mark, then my -20 EMS down sleeping bag just kept me comfortable and that is about it. I'm glad it was just a rental, as I would have taken it back because it sucked.

There were only 4 people that went and I was the only hammocker there, but I did convince a friend of mine to try it out in the spring and he seems psyched to give it a shot.
