Had my second honeymoon there 9 years ago..

the area is splendid and August is the best time to be there.. especially after the Sturgis crowd has thinned. you can hike, bike, and especially motorcycle, the roads are perfect for it.. weather should be perfect..

That was pretty cool and the buffalo running on the street was great.

......on a side note, been splitting alot of pitch down to fire starting size and making bud light alcohol stoves......everybody that show up is going to get one along with a bundle of wood

Looks like I'm in. Got forcibly retired, so no e-mail but put me down for a XL t-shirt. That photo just shines! Only been out there twice so far. Am inclined to head out again soon, but will definitely put it on the calendar. You just gotta make a pilgrimage to Moonshine Gulch Saloon in Rochford. (pop. 25) Run by a crusty old gal named Betsy, one of the best people in the hills. Good food, good people and out in the middle of exactly NOWHERE. Oh, yeah. What's it gonna cost to camp in this campground? I mostly camp on GPAA claimsites where I can camp free(for $70 membership) 12 Hr trip from Ames Ia, I might be game for carpooling someone, but no e-mail to PM with, bleepit!

nothing if you don't want it too.....i have already paid for the site for 2 nights ($200 total) i thought if people wanted to make a donation to help pay for the site that would be great, but nobody is obligated or expected to donate in any way

Apparently you can have your dog off leash as along as they listen well. Kiba just got excited.

I'll know for sure next month if I can swing this one. I also have a couple people in mind who may want to shoot on over to the Black Hills for the weekend.

I want to see some Buffalo!

Still on the bubble about making it that far but I'd love to go if I can. Heck, the t-shirt is nearly cool enough to make the drive.
