SWEET trip report. My grandson is just a few months younger, I hope to get him out like that soon. Probably next spring. BTW, Nick runs about the same way Noah does; about 10% faster than he should, without watching where he is putting his feet.

    Pretty river, where is it?

    Thanks for the comments everyone!

@brewguy hope you guys have fun and nice pic!

@te-wa I sure hope he does! The outdoors were a big part of my life growing up and I'm trying to make sure all of my kids (three sons) grow to love the outdoors. And I'm having same issue as brewguy....

What a little qutie, and a tough guy too. Nice report, it looks like you two enjoyed your selves.

Take a look at the REI Flash 18. Just got one for less than $20 (on sale). It is a staff sack with a waist strap and shoulder straps. Very easy to adjust the size.

EDIT: Just checked REI site and it is still on sale. Weighs 10oz.

Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.

I liked the video. I like the father/son time you got.

I have one daughter, she has a hammock now but hasn't used it on a trip yet. We're looking forward to our first hang together.
