I received a couple of pair of Wristies (Wristies.com) earlier this week, and they are inexpensive and offer two sizes. They have thumb holes instead of half-thumbs.
Size IS important, as I tried on a pair of these Marmot wrist warmers at REI

and they were more like wrist girdles on me. And my hands are only size L.

Thanks, These are easy and cheap to make! You really dont have to put the strings on but it helps the top side from curling up when you put your hands in your pockets. I hope to be wearing them at Mt.Rogers this year.
