    Howdy, y'all!

Hope y'all don't mind if I hang around for awhile.

A voice in my head keeps talking to me, telling me I need a hammock; but I'm so confused! My search for enlightenment lead me here, to this very forum. So now the voice in my head is saying stay here: read, ask, search and ye shall find.

Pesky little voice. Last time I heard him I spent a whole bucket of money on a camera.

    I need help!!!

Try to use other's experiences to help you understand each aspect of hammock camping (which hammock, which type of insulatation, which tarp...etc) Take into consideration someone who is a similar sleeper and size... if you sleep cold or hot. Where you will do most of your hammock camping... your locale and style will help determine whether a heavy or light set-up is what you require.

Answering most questions about yourself will save you time in your decision making, but nothing can substitute for your own experience. When I first began the transition from ground to air, I watched Shug's videos and many others. Through their narration and being able to visialize what they were saying, really helped me rapidly troubleshoot problems in my hang.

Good luck to you. Prepare to be inundated with a mountain of information and a wealth of creative wisdom. Welcome to the second most favorite place to HANG-OUT. Can you guess the first?
