    cevans, Nice mods. I'm looking forward to seeing a few more of these types of mods. Maybe even on smaller tarps for summer use.

    I have a 12' x 12' diamond shaped tarp, and think it would work on it just as well,,and then if you have the tie outs, or the grip clips, the aluminum shafts do bend alittle with the force of the tarp sides tied taunt and are pretty springy rigid keeping the tarp shaped nicely. And I wouldn't worry about wear on the top of the tarp as how much wear did we ever aquire on the sides of tents before we became swingers in life.

    I'm not seeing any wear what so ever ... I had a lot of movement last night and closely inspected the contact points .. my concern came from the small contact area compiled with the amount of pressure ..
