I haven't checked the levels, but I'm betting Ponca is too low to put in. Steel Creek might still be up.

That might be a bad thing for the paddlers but might be a good thing for us hikers if SmokeHouse has us crossing the river 3X again

I hate to sound like an alcoholic..... but what are the rules regarding alcohol at Kyle's? I can not seem to find anything with Google. Obviously no glass.

Weather predictions are looking questionable and as I haven't been to Kyles Landing before what can I expect the road condition to be like once I get off of Hwy 74 if we get some substantial weather? Paved, rock, dirt, mud, Arkansas water slide, Louisiana gumbo, Oklahoma OMG?

Gravel. Steep gravel. 2wd, but just barely.

Well now I think that I'm going to be back on for this trip and my wife wants to come too and bring the dogs. We'd arrive Saturday morning/noon. She and I are both doing this low-carbohydrate diet thing right now (working like a charm) so the dinner is going to be pretty interesting for us! We'll bring something to cook but I'm not sure yet what it will be.
