    I'm Back (I think)

I think I'm going to give hanging another go here.

I've narrowed my choices down to either a Claytor Jungle or a Clark NX-200. I am leaning towards the Claytor because it's half the price of the Clark. I'm sure neo would like to see me go with a Claytor.

Good to see you trying the enlightened way again . I like my Claytor, and not just because of Neo.

I have a Claytor Jungle on the way from Mule, should be here in a couple days! I think I'm going to get a MacCat Ultra to go with it. I need to order a new quilt from the Jack's as well, I should never have sold my Katahdin to Grizz.

Tobit, Your Claytor should be there no later than Saturday. Cinch buckle straps too. I have a Mac Cat I ordered from Brian. For only $25 extra I got a Deluxe but with a 14 foot ridge line instead of the normal 12 and it is awesome! 14 feet is long and I have to choose trees accordingly, but with my DIY Claytor being fully 10 feet four inches long (Claytors are 9'9" in think) I fell I really need the extra. it gives me about two feet overhang on each end. I am glad you see you back and in a claytor too. You may have noticed my comments on the Clark NZ-200 that I tried out this week. Good hammock, High price, but I just like the Claytor better. Mule

The normal 'Deluxe' from OES has a 130" (10.8ft) ridgeline, not 12'. The new Ultra has a 12' ridge, though.

    You use a 14' tarp?

Yeah, I was strongly considering an NZ-200 but found the $369 price tag a bit hard to swallow. I'm very glad I was able to find your Claytor.

Meanwhile, Grizz is sending my quilt back to me as well. Life is good.

Yes, 14 feet. So far I have had not trouble getting between trees. My DIY Claytror type hammock is over ten feet long by about four or five inches, so I get about 2 feet of overhang on each end.
