Adjustable SRL and a Dutch Biner, whodunnit?

First off, I REALLY thought I posted this question last night, but can't find it now, so my apologies if this is duplicated elsewhere. I'll blame the 13.5 hr workday and the Makers Mark.

I've long known I wanted a Dutch-biner on my RL for lounging purposes, and only recently realized that, for me, my BB "sweet spots" with a pretty loose RL. I don't have a specific length in mind, so was gonna order an Adjustable SRL. Anybody have advice on how I'd implement this combo? Thanks!

i made a continuous loop of zing-it, oh about 12-16" long (you could also use a length with 2 deadeyes). i ran that up through the whipping at the head end.

the adjustable SRL whoopie runs its fixed eye up through the foot end whipping.

now you have a 2-part ridgeline, ready to be connected via the dutch biner.

    * the fixed loop at the head end also as a good 'stopper' for hanging gear. think pillow mitten clip here.

FWIW, we had a customer just place a custom order for this very set up for his WBBB. He was on the large side so wanted 7/64" Amsteel. We made a 14" piece with 1 1/2" loops on each end. And the main ridge line was adjustable fro 65" to 95". The two pieces connected together with the Dutch Biner. Hopefully those measurements will help you.

I just realized that. Small world here on HF I wish I could edit my order from to have a place for screen names. Will look into that.

So all the credit for the measurements goes to Body942. And we're going to hold him to it once he receives the items to report back on how it all worked out.
