    First Ridgeline

So I've decided on having a ridgeline but I have no clue how to make it.

    My questions are:

    1) Where do I attach it (I have a gathered end)
    2) What kind of knots do I use on each end
    3) What kind of knots do I use if I want it to be adjustable (I know I've seen somewhere the type of knots that slide that make it really convenient but I don't know where I have seen it)

    Thanks!

The easiest would be a bowline and a taunt line hitch. You can just loop the ends over your existing suspension.

On what kind of hammock are you wanting to do this?

On the WBBB, the ridgeline is comes up through the middle of the gather at the end and is looped around the suspension ropes. That way it basically extends the suspension.

A lot of people who want it adjustable use a whoopie sling made out of amsteel or something thin and strong like zing-it.

I'm using a DIY gathered end hammock - I whipped the ends with paracord - should I add another cord in the end and then attach the ridgeline these coming from the ends?
