Looks great Otter! Very professional. Thanks for posting the link to the Canadian down supplier! Have been thinking of asking the wife to help me put together a top quilt. (Her sewing machine kind of hates me...)

    Cheers

A real beast looking mighty warm! Why not call it "the Winterotter"? *g*

Ah, can you tell us sth about the shell? How many oz/sqyd?

Have 1.1 digicamo here -- but not downproof. Planned for future diysil tarp and bbclone.

OK, I figured out why the majority of first replies are also from Canada - guys like me, from Florida, are still in shock from seeing this Winter Wonder! My mouth is still open as I type this. That much down would make both a top & bottom WINTER quilt for me.

But it's not just the loft I'm admiring, it's also the fine workmanship and I love the camo fabric! Congratulations Otter on what has got to be the warmest quilt out there!

The lifter (suspender…) covers the extra suspension and snug’s the UQ up from the butt to the back of the knees. It can be attached and adjusted from a laying position in the hammock. The one on this quilt is 3 pieces of shock cord and a Dynaglidel soft shackle with Prusik (shots attached)

We think the digicamo is 1.9, we get it locally and it’s not properly labeled . The shell is 78”x 38” with 4” noseeum baffle walls. Its slightly over stuffed, there’s 17oz of feathers so the shell and rigging are 11.9oz.

Great work, [o]TTer. Like everyone else I'm dying to know how low that quilt can go. Likewise on the digital camo fabric. Awesome job!

I bet you will need those lifters....I use them on my Winter Yeti to guarantee a warm buttocks.

We took the Beast on a hike through Laurel Creek yesterday; it was only 2°C/35.6°F so not a "field test" but we did get better setup shots.

Tuesday night looks promising with a forecasted -15°C/5°F, might be a good night to sleep in the yard.
