    Warmth At Last...Thanks HG

As usual, I attempted to save $$'s by making a synthetic UQ. Then I made an IX UQ. I have adjusted both every way I can and still end up with CBS in 30 minutes at only 60*. I simply can't get them snugged up and sealed off properly.

I finally gave up and got a HG 20* Incubator with 2oz overstuff and a matching Burrow to go with it.

I tried them out yesterday at 40*F with a 5 mph breeze.

First I tried the incubator on a long, wide gathered end diy hammock. I had to cinch up the ends slightly and that was it. Instant warmth and no CBS.

Then I tried it on my new WBBB and made no additional adjustments. Instant warmth and no CBS. Did I mention I dozed off...testing is such tiring work.

The Incubator simply fits. The shaping is superb, allowing it to mold to the hammock and leave no gaps.

Oh yeah...the Burrow ain't bad ether.

Thank you so much Adam and Jenny!!!

Got the same quilts and agree that the new style of the incubator is supurb and does an excellent job molding to the body and keeping ya toasty warm from underneath. Enjoy the new quilts

Great to hear of someone having success right out of the box with no fiddle factor! Yay! +3 on the stand, also! looks like you just grabbed some branches from your backyard. Which is giving me some ideas!

Thanks everyone. The stand is an oversized "Turtlelady Bamboo Stand" and has shown up a few times on the forums.

BB58...After all of the trials I've had with DIY UQs, I was very relieved by the quick success with the Hammock Gear Incubator. I was starting to wonder if there was something wrong with my back.

Yep. Testing is an exhausting endeavour.

I too find myself dozing............................................ ...................

Whu? Huh? Must have dozed off. Responding to posts must be exhausting as well, or maybe the thought of testing UQs and TQs is what did it.

I have been so very pleased with HG products that I now have four quilts from Adam and Jenny. Good workmanship, good design, good fit. Maybe I should offer my services as a test hanger as my retirement is pending this month. I am only about three hours away from them, so if they need an "emergency test hang" I could drop everything I am doing (!) and zip over. Possibly notified via a Bat-signal type searchlight.

A tough job, but someone has to do it.
