    First trip!

Went hunting/camping Thursday through Sunday to try out my new setup. Our hunting club is in Conecuh County Alabama bordering the Sepulga River.

    My setup includes:
    GT Skeeter Beater Pro
    Whoopies with straps and toggles
    Kelty Noah's Tarp 12
    Walmart blue CCF pad
    Eureka 20* Mummy bag

The weather was cold Thursday night, getting down in the 30's and then warmed up to the 50's for Friday and Saturday night. Saturday and Sunday were both foggy and rainy off and on, so this was a good trip to test my gear.

Here's a couple pics of my setup:
Thanks again to Syb for a great tarp!

    Entire camp:

Here's an inside view of the SBP. I did the modification of running the ridgeline through the bug net like I had seen on here.

Another view of camp after rain the started:

Overall a great trip even though it was pretty wet. I slept GREAT every night. I got close to 8 hours each night and didn't get even slightly cold when it was in the 30's. I was very happy with my entire setup...only thing on the wish list is an underquilt (need to save some funds).

Another reason for a successful trip:

    Thanks for reading!

Always fun to showoff some gear at deer camp! Great job. In a few years everyone will have hammocks!

Good pics. My buddy uses that same tarp and has never made it look it that cool.
