    Head position in a claytor?

    Okay, newb alert!

When I looked at the claytor, laid out on my floor, I could see that it was rectangular, which leads me to believe that there is no right or wrong end for one's head. Choose which one you want. Yet, when I look at most of the shots on the web, it seems that people lie with the zipper on their left. I have been laying with the zipper on my right...

    What gives?

My zip was always on the right, I don't think it matters. As long as all is comfy.

right handed people tend to want the zipper on the left so hey can reach over their body and use the zipper, where as on your right side it is harder to reach over your head and you twist your body in an odd way. i do what ever works for the camp site and where i can put the hammock.

I'm right handed and prefer zip left side. Plus, easier for me to access the gear pouch. Personal preference I guess. JH is a plus though that it is equal at both ends if you want to switch.

I am right handed, but prefer the zipper on the right - basically choose which side you want the zip on, and that lets you work out the head end. As with all things to do with hammocks, there are multiple compinations, but in the end it is trial and error to work out what is best for you and the way you sleep. I've had a lot of people love my setup, and some shake their heads - if it works, use it until something better comes along !~
