Don't worry about it! I read on that thread over several days and resisted any comment. Then right at what turned out to be the end of the thread, I felt the need to respond to one of the last posts. I thought I gave a very polite response, but it apparently was deleted. I mean it was deleted for me! Oddly, the post I so politely( I thought anyway) responded to is still there. At least you get to delete your own posts, so you are way ahead of me. Must not have been that bad if you didn't get deleted, not as bad as me anyway!

At least I suppose I was deleted, it is not there. But I don't know for sure, maybe the post never got through, or it closed just as I was posting. So maybe I was not deleted and it was something else went wrong. But once in a blue moon I get deleted or a thread I start gets shut down, but no problem, I understand. Mostly anyway! The mods have to do what they think is necessary to keep it peaceful around here, and on topic.

This is another example of why I love this place. I don't meet a whole lot of people on other forums who are willing to apologize for offending another member in a post, YMMV of course. Really makes me appreciate the caliber of people we have here! As others have said, class act sir!

Not to worry.

I saw some info I have a problem with one too many times earlier today and fired off a response. I deleted it within 5 minutes fearing it came across all wrong.

No worries! Way to man up and say sorry just cause you felt you need to. Not the exact movie quote( and I modified it to fit hammocking) from Top gun-something to the effect of " When you get where you are going, if you can't find a wing man, call me I'll hang with ya!" That's all I have to say about that.

Class act indeed and as so many others already have said in this and other posts, it sets HF aside from a lot if not all others...

That needs to be supported so after I have gone thru the unread posts (not can't read them all), I will find that 'donating member' button!

I'm the same way, and also probably the least political correct person I know, simply don't believe in it. I have been known to let stuff slip from time to time on forums, though I have gotten better about it as I get older. Everyone makes mistakes, it's human nature. It's all good
