I do think that the worst aspect of the politically correct crowd is that they don't have enough respect for the beliefs of others----to the point that they are offended by them.
Think about that. What does it say about you if you are offended by what someone else believes?
Be that as it may, it's a hijack of the thread and topic to add political commentary to it. This isn't the time or place to discuss it.

Can't Wait, that's a classy thing to do. Being able to step outside oneself and to reflect back upon such (and even "confess") is a real skill. Empathy can be a difficult thing, but is the very essence of being kind (aka "Christian" to most here). Good for you!
Since public posts are so apt to be misunderstood, some are better handled privately. And as 2Q (?) said, we can all meet around a campfire and solve the world's problems face-to-face some time in close communion.
Good for you and best to you.

There are many many many other forums in which ecclesiastical discussions are strongly encouraged. Since this is a forum about Hammocks, we'll keep our focus on the main mission: Enjoying Hammocks!
but I guess that I am also hijacking this thread to remind you of this... my apologies to the OP.
