    Newbie from Charlotte, NC

I'm a newbie to this hanging stuff (lol), actually trying find out more about it. Haven't tried it yet. I have loved hiking and camping since I was a boyscout. Our family of 6 (4 children 12 and under) love to go camping and have historically done so in tents. My neighbor and I are planning a 4 day hiking trip in foothills of TN with some other guys in late March. He called me over today to his house with excitement to show me his 'new christmas gift' from his wife, it was a hammock. Of course he had to demonstrate how fast and easy it was to hang by demonstrating on his deck. It looked too good to be true. So of course, I had to go and check out this new phenomenon by surfing the web and I found this site. I hope to learn more, specifically some pros and cons of using a hammock. Thanks! D

If you have any time this week, I'm off today and tomorrow. We can hook up for some time for you to play around with a couple different hammocks, TQ's, UQ, etc. Let me know.
