    Newbie from Monroe, Georgia

Don't have a hammock yet but figured I would figure out what I want throw this forum. I do lots of kayak fishing and am looking for a way to lighten the camping gear. So any suggestions would be appreciated. I live in Monroe, Ga. and fish all over.

Welcome from SC. You will find lots of wonderful information on this forum. It will help you greatly in choosing the right hammock for you. I recommend going to a hang and check out other folks systems before you buy. Good luck...

    Welcome from Conyers, GA.

-If you are interested in a very simple, innexpensive and lightweight hammock, it's hard to beat the ENO Double Nest (don't buy the crappy Slap-straps though).
-You can go with a Warbonnet Traveler if you want a double-layered hammock to better keep a pad in place or as a skeeter barrier.
-IMHO, the best hammock out there is the Warbonnet Blackbird if you value the footbox for a VERY flat lay, the shelf for gear storage, and the built in bug net.
-I have never owned a Hennessy, but I assume they are good hammocks too, plus there are other manufacturers.

Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can.
    Pursuing it with eager feet
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say."
