Thanks folks. Looks like a cool forum. One of my kayak fishing buds Randy (aka River Pirate) has offered to let me try one of his setups when a few of us from the Georgia Kayak Fishing forum do a flint river trip in march. Hopefully this will help my decide.

Hey Sarge - welcome from Lawrenceville. I've been a hanger for about a year, have an ENO Doublenest and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I've been a member of this forum for about a week now and I have learned a lot already! You've found a good place for hammock info.

Welcome! You're on the right track when you have a buddy with a rig you can try out before you buy. There is a learning curve, but that's half the fun. Lots of great info on the videos. I also like to refer folks to this book. It's new/current, has great diagrams, and contains a lot of well organized info in a small package. It's a great resource to get you started.

Thanks for the welcome everybody. Thanks to Crawldaddy from this site I just recieved a H.H. Explorer deluxe zippered version in the mail brand new for an unbelievable price thanks again Crawldaddy. It is just the hammock no tarp and straps. So I am researching that right now. I am thinking about the whoopie sling all in one system what do you guys think? Hey Riverpirate I am going to be picking your brain at the boat show saturday.
