    Great thread

My daughter actually gave me the name. I had some obscure name when I first joined and never really liked it. She made me a cardboard and construction paper "hammock scene," and wrote Just swingin on the top. I loved it and asked the mods to help me change it and here I am.

Although I someday hope to come up with a "cooler-sounding" screen name, "flatbanana" seemed a natural choice shortly after I spent my first (miserable) overnight hammock-camping experience "banana'd up" in an ENO, and then transitioned to more comfortable camping hammocks (Hennessey & WBBB) that allowed for a flatter lay.

Mountaingoat, because I do well uphill in the mountains. Built like a goat, low center of gravity ( short). Stubborn too

What does your HF Screen-name mean?

When I was younger I had a hard time hearing people and an old friend gave me the nickname of DeafTom, Tommy being my first named shortened. Anyway down the road I ended up changing the deaf part to dev for my online alias, because it sounded close to deaf while also representing my love for computers. Further down the road I took up playing World of Warcraft where I dropped the Tom part and am now known across the lands as Dev.

Buckeye because I am a Buckeye (OSU fan and former student/employee) and 3185: 31 is my favorite number and 85 is my birth year. Stupid, but it works for me.

Re: What does your HF Screen-name mean?

I spent a good portion of my adult life as a Navy Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman. Doc is what the Marines start calling their Corpsman when they finally decide you are not going to cry, quit and run back to the fleet. It's a badge of acceptance.

Yakmock45 is also my YouTube name. It is the last parts of two words of which I love to do, kayak and hammock camp and I was 45 when I came up with the name.

cabbydaddy. A nickname my kids gave me a long time ago because it seemed that I spent all my time driving kids everywhere.
