Well.... I'm a BIG and tall guy always have been. I may just be the biggest guy on the forum. Wait should I be proud of that title or not hahaha. Anyways Hammock camping isn't to fat guy friendly but I have been able to find over-engineered gear to suit my needs at this time. But this is a new journey for me to have better health, fitness, and just a better human being. I do believe this will be a large part (no pun intended) of my success. What better then to use something I have loved in the past since a youngster to become a better person in the future.
Hello all. After reading, and watching videos for a couple of years, thought I would post. An engineer living in Oregon. Looking forward to lots of hang time, and some good conversations.
Red Trailed Hawk is a smash up of Red-Tailed Hawk and Trail. As I am all about trails and hiking, that part seems pretty obvious. The Red-Tailed Hawk, however, has been a significant role or icon through out my life. Some might call it a “spirit animal” or something along those lines. Whatever you call it, it's a part of who I am.

When I was younger, i wore pool to the socks.
I got made fun of and called poolsocks.
Now i think it's hilarious and it's my trail name.
Not sure this will end up being my trail name. I DJ'd for years when I was younger and that was my dj name. Haven't used it for years. I'd actually enjoy a new one.
I've been using it on all forums for years. it was inspired by an 80's movie called Rocketeer, but changed to reflect my interest in IT networks ie. packets
