I'm a father to four children, twenty-four hours a day.
I was the guest of a member to the LocoLibre Piney Woods Hang. I was listed as FishKiller's +1 and it stuck.
I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.
A friend of mine and I both got into hammock camping around the same time, so we planned a few trips together to test out some gear and adjust our load-outs. The first several trips we took, it rained...once that was not even forecast before we went. So, we jokingly began calling ourselves Aquaman and Waterlogged, and mine (Aquaman) just sort of stuck. We actually have another trip planned a week from today, and...surprise, surprise...it's supposed to rain!
What type of hammock do you have, if you don't mind my asking? I only have a few hangs under my belt, but I have a Wise Owl Outfitter's double hammock that works well for me. I'm about 5'10, 250, and I've never had any issues with it. Just curious as to what other folks use.
Thanks. I honestly think I could schedule a trip during the hottest week of the year, in a drought, in the desert, and it would rain on me somehow.
Started with a Hennessy Deep Jungle, the two-layer side zip. I got it because I started off with a pad, then quickly found the Costco Gemini thread and made one of those for it and was sold on underquilts. The Hennessy worked OK, but I realized I like a very soft bed so I decided to try a more stretchy fabric. I found a Half Wit and one of the swap meets in 1.6 and snagged it and I love it. I also tried someone’s 1.0 at one of the hangs and determined that will be my next one. I’m 5’8” 155-160lbs.
