Nothing really something I can remember:screwy:
My screen name funny enough did not start out as what you would think. Hangin' J in the start didnt mean J in the most comfortable position between two trees. It however is my cattle brand my initials J H the brand is the H with the J "hangin" from the horizontal part of the H.
My name is Matt, but I also have several friends named Matt, which can cause some confusion. At some point, they decided to call me The Judge, because I'm a pretty good judge of character, distance, weight, and any other estimable thing. I thought it was a stupid nickname, I told them that it would never stick, and they've never called me by my name since. Eventually I just gave up and embraced it.
Cuelgas bien,
The Judge
I am a contractor, and Dunrite Construction is my Company name.... I use it for everything... If its not done rite don't do it!..... unless your talking about spelling...
"Leave the Bronx" is one of my favorite Mystery Science Theater quotes.
On my first "real" backpacking trip when I was a kid, I bought a small jar of fudge at the trail head. My group referred to as Fudge for the rest of the trip and the the name stuck with me for the rest of my outdoor adventures!
I tried to read all the posts, interesting and entertaining from what I read, but after about 350-400 posts I realized I have other things I need to do (sleep?) so I skipped to the end.
Regarding my screenname - well...I fly fish and I garden. Before my son was born and I had to cut back on my fishing I could catch 20 - 30 fish an hour on a single fly (if you're changing flies you're not catching fish). Before my son started baseball and scouts I could grow tomato plants that would have been 9-10 feet tall (my cages were only 6-7 feet tall). Some day I will do those things again so I keep the name...
I spent 20 years as an industrial blacksmith for a natural gas company. I became a member of The Blacksmiths Guild Of the Potomac in 1981 and am a life member of the group. I was president, vice president, secretary, and served on its board of directors for 15 years and have run a blacksmith shop in my backyard since 1981.
Are you starting to notice a theme in my life? After a brain tumor 3 years ago, the internet hooked me and I found out that all the camping I did as a young person was really "Bushcrafting." Then I fell in love with idea of a hammock and tarp (how simple is that!) for a shelter in the woods.
That's when members of BCUSA directed me to this forum and the rest is "just hanging"....................Ross

Ain't no changes in me
And I ain't hidin' from nobody
