I hang out in ridges...hate hills though. I also love dogs and have 4 of 'em. Two Great Pyrenees, an American Golden and a German Shepherd.

Just to clarify and define the meaning of my screen-name, and illuminate it's inspiration: Iron Dog was my "love-name", way, waaaayy back and loooong ago, when I was misapplying my talents in the army. I was affectionately named Iron Dog by some of the first Korean personnel I'd been assigned to train. (This later developed into something much broader, but, that's that, and not this.) The "iron" merely references that my oriental astrological element is metal, and, due to some convolution of factors, I'm a "double metal", which qualifies as "iron". So, that's that. The "dog" simply references my birth year, 1970. There is NO phony tough-guy imposture intended, by the metallic and canine appearance of my name. I hope that clarifies the matter for you all, and I hope it helps to soften the hard, metallic and off-putting impression it may make on my fellow forumites.
AT trail name
Mine nickname is a description of that which happens during combat when things get confusing and chaotic. I am a combat veteran and prior infantry grunt. There is a saying in the infantry that goes, "You can take the 11B out of the bush but you can't take the bush out of the 11B." I have loved the outdoors all of my life and being a, "Hanger," now I think I'll enjoy it just that much more.

I love my Tracker knife and use it all the time when I'm practising bushcraft. I know, I know this isn't a bushcraft forum, but for whatever reason my screen that I wanted to use(shadowmaster), which essentially reflects the fact that I work at night and typically don't go to bed until around 3:30-4 a.m., wasn't allowed.
My name was given to me because I get lost all the time, trails, roads, cities it doesn't matter what and I am a chick
I spent my summers growing up on Upper Saranac Lake in the Adirondacks Mountains (ADK) of NY. Hiking, camping, canoeing and fishing for days on end. The joys of someone else payin' the bills...
I´m short and from Colombia, so:
"el" + "colombianito" = "the" + "small/short Colombian"
"This is what i love about backpacking... Just clean your stuff by licking it." - Shug
"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream in which you are the imagination of yourself... now here's Tom with the weather." -Bill Hicks
Mine is the name of the best ever black lab I had - Dewey. We always called him Deweydog. The picture is my current dog. He's a pretty good dog, but he came named - Hoover. Not for the vacuum or the failed president, but for the first head of the FBI.
