Well when I first signed up I didn't know what I was doing so I used my standard screen name. Now I can't figure out how to change it, and since I don't have a trail name yet I guess I'll just keep it for now.

I have been thinking that lately, although there is a great Meet Up group of
hikers and campers. When I went to my one and only meet up, I was the only hanger and the only one who had an "alternative" stove....meaning an alcohol stove and my Emberlit. My avatar is from that hang. They were pretty blown away...all these avid hikers/campers

Bubba has been a nickname my friends have called me for years. It has nothing to do with the use of Bubba in ths Southern United States or with the movie Forrest Gump.
I used to work in a restaurant in the back food prep area and when the cooks needed stuff they would call me on an overhead microphone. One year me and a friend were making fun of a song on the radio whose lyrics we could not make out. I just sounded like bubbly bubbly bubbly. He started call me "Bubbly" over the microphone and it got shortened to Bubba. Because I was a big friendly guy it seemed to suit me so the nickname stuck. Even though I am long removed from that workplace and those friends, I have kept the nickname and my friends and coworkers call be Bubba today.

Mine is part of my last name...and part what I'm frequently accused of being full of.

I used to be a youth minister (for those of you whove seen me, stop laughing...) and am ordained, but I am not your typical "father" type and and very liberal minded. I still do certain services (weddings, funerals, etc) for those that know me. My business cards used to have listed "Weddings, funerals, last rights, small engine repair, landscaping" just for fun...haha.
and im a biker, so i REV the bike up...haha.
