A bird watcher in my daily walks.
Some people have difficulty remembering my name, Gallina. Often I'll say : call me G.
"If you see a hawk, call out G, when I turn to you, point and call hawk."
Looking for a Trailname. On the trail I do not watch birds.
I am very distracted by the magnificence of stone boulders, cliffs or just shapes.
My hiking partner, a friend, thinks a good trail name should be Stone, Stoney or Rock.
I agree with him, something like that, with another descriptive word.
In telling my husband, He said, that's your trailname Distracted By Stone, D.B.Stone.
Slowanderer here, Not because I am, but because I choose to be.
Mine is boring as well, simply my last name and first name. I wish I would have poked around on here more and realized everyone uses trail names, I definitely would have signed up with Corncob (I'm originally from Nebraska and when I moved to Houston that nickname somehow stuck with my coworkers).
mine is rngn risk nothing gain nothing
While playing cards one of my pilots told me to “strap on your feedbag that will keep you quite for a while” (he was losing and I was laughing at his antics). I was known for having lots of food at my Navigation station so Feedbag seemed to fit, and it became my call sign. I’ve used it for nearly 30 years.
We couldn’t all have cool names like Maverick, Goose, or Ice Man
My forum name was inspired by some fellow forum members. Last year around this time my husband Timberrr and I attended the 1st Annual Florida Hang which was also our first hang. My SN at the time was simply my first name. As planning was going on I volunteered to cook some gumbo for everyone.
As it turned out the gumbo was a big hit. Everyone started calling me Gumbo Goddess or Gumbo Queen. Once we returned home I made a request to the moderators to change my SN to just Gumbo, something a bit more anonymous and a bit more modest.
