Shenandoah Valley here, trying to convert more of my hiking partners
My son,cousin,and myself are just south of Roanoke,Va. Lots of trails not too far from home including the AT which we have been section hiking.
When I retire, ME in SW VA! Actually would move there "In a heartbeat" if I could!
Yea, I know I don't count yet, but I can dream can't I.

You've got some good people close to you! Go check out JRB Like Roadrunner suggested (He's a real good guy) and I bet they will put you onto some folks. Why not plan a hang over there guy's!!! I'm near the SW Va. line in TN. I'd come.
