Who cares about showers, gourmet food, using flush toilets. Just keep on walking and being away from it all.

There are times that the only way you can do something is to do it alone.

Very musch so on the hang outs being kid friendly. It is better to have them outside than in front of the tv or video game.

Great! We are seriously thinking about attending. The HH's are ordered and due to arrive next week. My 11 year old is begging for a camping trip. I just don't know that we have all the gear needed for a cold night. I am digging thru the forums trying to figure out the UQs, Pads, and everything in between. As of now I have only purchased us a CCF pad from Wal-mart.

One hint from me. I have found that CCF pads do not work for me, as they cannot conform to a complex curve. What does work nicely for me is partially inflated air mattresses. They curve nicely. For whatever that's worth to you as you consider gear. I do take one or two small (approx 12x18") CCF sitting pads, to use in camp and then in my hammock I can put them wherever I have a cold spot, such as knees, butt, elbows, shoulder.
