At the recent Arizona Hang, Swingblade and I took our sweet time setting up our hammocks and tarps, and during the conversation, we talked about how fast it can be to set up a hammock.
SO, I thought it would be fun to set up a series of challenges. Here's the first one:
Fair Weather Challenge
RULES/GUIDELINES
1. Have fun!
2. Time yourself setting up your hammock and under quilt (or pad/other insulation).
3. You must lay in your hammock after each set.
4. Time yourself taking down your quilt/insulation and hammock.
5. Post your UNCUT video (no editing during the setup/take-down) and post your video to the forum.
This is just a fun challenge to see how quickly a hammock can be set for a fair weather evening where no tarp/rain cover is needed. Future challenges will include more complicated set-ups to see how things compare.
Here's my entry. I'm sure someone can beat my time as I was pretty relaxed about setting up. Also, I was shooting with my new iPhone, and the only place I could balance it was on a log, so everything is a bit slanted.
