Welcome, from SE Portland! I just moved out to the PaNW from Pennsylvania, and this is the most beautiful part of the country I've seen. I hear WA has some beautiful wilderness and I can't wait to check it out - most of my hiking in the NW has been in the Gorge and on/around Mt. Hood. The HF community is fantastic, and you're sure to meet some great people and spend a lot of money building your perfect setup. Have fun!
