    Dutch hooks on whoopies

I placed an order for some dynaglide whoopies from Dutch yesterday and was very surprised to hear that due to poor feedback dutch hooks were no longer added to the adjustable loop end of his whoopies.

I'd just like to put it out there that I have found the hooks in this application incredibly useful - I use them to hang my underquilts from (I just need my underquilts to have a large contiunous loop of shock cord run through channels for suspension) or can use the whoopies as adjustable tieouts or ridgelines without having to tie a knot.

Did anyone else think this was a great idea? I think so often with these kind of things, more negative feedback filters through than positive feedback even if more people are happy with a product than unhappy...

I should add that after I inquired about it - Dutch offered to add quilt hooks to the whoopies free of charge. Again, I find Dutch's service second to none.

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Compliments aside, and i never tire of them, the OP brings up a good point. I added hooks instead of beads to whoopies and it was so much as I got a negative response. It just confused people and they didn't know what to do with them. I intended them to be used to hang you quilt from and also to hang you stuffsack from so you know where they are. You can tell by the lack of response on here that the idea kinda just went flat. Whichis OK since it is easier adn less expensive to just put on a bead. I just figured I could put on something that was useful and wouldn't break. I will certainly do it on request.
    Peace Dutch

I use a Dutch hooks at one end of a Zing-it tarp ridgeline with a Tarp-Fly at the other end. I'll never go back to another solution for this. It is so simple, easy to set up and lightweight.

Today, I received a second set of Dutch Buckles and 6 of his new Quilt Hooks.

I used a Dutch Hook at one end, and a flyz at the other.
    So easy.

I modified my CRL to add it tow more of Dutches Ti hooks. I put them on 6" zing it prusiks to attach the tarp to the ridge-line. I haven't field tested it yet, but in quick trials in the yard it does well and it is easy to get the tarp on an off the line - as long as the tarp is under tension it hols without a problem - lighter and easier than putting on any type of gated biner too. I plan to upload a couple of shots of it later.
