Is the Houston Woods Hang still a happenin.... I may be able to join, but I would like to know more details... any hiking? or just car camping/hanging? I don't know much about HW trails. So if you could share some of your thoughts on when, where, plan of activity, etc. I'd really appreciate it.

I'm still wanting to go! So I too hope it happens!

Doctari: at this time, not knowing if this is still a go or not, not knowing how many will attend or other details, I will say that I am a strong maybe. I will also say that it's likely I will not be there Friday night, but rather late Sat. AM, out Sun. I guess I'm also making the assumption that this is not a hiking/miles oriented outing. I know nothing about camping in Houston Woods, so I'll need some help with directions, etc. All that said, I hope this can come together.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see what happens, when, and where exactly. Sounds like fun

This is WonderMonkey's hang, I'm just a participant. In fact, I haven't camped in Houston woods in nearly 50 years. I do know where the group campground it, a kind of neat place, near the Mt Bike path & right on the lake!

Doctari: Sorry, I did not mean to put you in the lead.. I know it's WonderMonkies hang, and I hope he jumps back in to coordinate everything. I also know that we have a few days to go, so nothing urgent. I'll stand down, wait to see how things develop & respond accordingly. I'm sorta like you, as I've not done anything but play a little golf at Hueston Woods in years. Sorta looking forward to seeing what it's like.

Fellow Ohio and Eastern Indiana hangers... as things have developed I will not be available for this potential weekend hang in Hueston Woods State Park. I hope you all get a few to join and have a great time. I'll check in to see what actually happens, but as for me, I will have to politely pass this one.

Gosh, wonder if WaterMonkey is OK? Anyone know him and able to check on him? Just kind of odd to start a thread and then not stroke it any.

I just sent him a PM. Hope it happens. IF I get out in the area in next few days I'll look into camping options & cruse a few sites, but I don't think I got the energy to put together another hang this soon.

We are a go! Sorry to drop off for a while.

Jan 27, 28, 29th. I will post the location, etc. The spot we want has adequate trees behind it for a bunch of hanging spots.

Hueston Woods.... I'll get the site number soon. More to follow. Hopefully several can join in.
