    Hello from McMinnville, Tennessee

    Hello from McMinnville, TN.

I got the hiking bug last summer and have been on a roll since then. I can't look at a mountain without feeling the draw to be there. While on a camping trip last summer I spotted a hammock in the camp ground. I am ready to purchase a hammock for myself and my 11 year old daughter. I have been searching the web high and low trying to educate myself on what to purchase. I like the affordability and reviews of the Hennessy hammocks. I have leared from just reading a few reviews here that the zipper model is the way to go.

Look forward to learning more from those who have been using hammocks.

welcome! glad to have a couple new hangers. Plenty of good info on here and great people, dont hesitate to ask any questions

Lots of new TN people on here the last few weeks, you should keep an eye out for hangs in your area. Good way to meet other hangers and see different setups.

Welcome from just outside Knoxville, TN. Glad to see another neighbor join the forums. I suggest going to a group hang and checking out the various rigs...its a great way to make an informed decision

    Thanks for all the welcomes.

Hangnout you are correct. I love Savage Gulf and all of the South Cumberland State Park area. The Fiery Gizzard is where my heart is.

Welcome from Giles County. See Neo's posts about Mid-TN hangs. We usually do one in late April-early May and another in October. He has one planned for 1st weekend in Feb this year for a cold weather event. These are at Meriwether Lewis camp ground on the Trace -free camping. Come over a learn about many different hammocks and tarps.
