    Blaze,

I always enjoy your videos, the views, the monologues, the gear reviews.

Sorry to hear about the job situation, things do have a way of working themselves out though.

Though whether things will be secure again I doubt.

What a downer to get that call whilst laying up in the hammock. Just not right to at least not have a face to face with you.

Try to enjoy some time-off and let opportunity find you.
    My best to you.
Sorry the security of sector Denmark has been compromised.

That call to a hammock was a real anticlimax. Best as I was lying there chilling, suspended in mid air, I was free falling.
That for sure was a wake up call.
    All secure under my skin.

Sorry to hear about your job, what a bummer. But you've got the right attitude, its now an opportunity to do something else... or the same thing somewhere else. All the best to you.

As for the video.... talk about being ensconced in downy goodness! I don't know how you could have been cold in all that.

Love the sleeping bag with arms and pockets. My morning coffee will never get to cold

The JRB Hood is actually acting as the over the head cover in that setup with the PolarPod (my winter setup).
Going with my HG quilts (summer setup), the setup will need some wind protection in the ends.
    Glad you liked the video.

I hope you can feel the positive energy coming from the Hammock Forum members posting their best “window opening” wishes! I hope that in one week from today we get another video from you with you in your hammock drinking coffee and saying, Hi guys, I got another job, all is secure again.”
Thanks Bruciehi5 for all the well wishes, but couldn’t you give me more than a week before I have to go to work.

The only thing in life that we can all count on is it will always be changing.

Our reaction and attitude towards the changes are what make the difference in how we get by. Every change gives us time to reflect, on what is most mportant to us, and set our course again to get there.

You are very correct about new, and possibly better, opportunities being behind a new door. First we have to close the last one to find them.

Cold. You said cold. Man, me hanging (walking, sitting) around camp until freezing, not getting enough energy from the pre fabricated factory food, and then when thoroughly cold laying in my hammock with my feet high above my body.
That recipe is my own and I will not recommend it to any body.
And no amount of down could have saved me.
Hot water in Nalgene bottles did the trick though.

    And Redoleary, you are right.
A normal person would be cooking in that gear.
    And so do I normally.

We'll make a bonfire of our troubles and we'll watch them blaze away
and when they've all gone up in smoke clouds,
we'll never worry should they come another day
and as the bonfire keeps on burning,
    happy days will be returning,
    while the band keeps playing
we'll let our troubles blaze away

Here we are, there's work to do,
and don't let troubles trouble you.
Bring them along and we'll burn them up,
bring them along and we'll burn them up ha ha, ha hey

Start and throw them right into the fire
Watch the flames go higher and higher
Blazing away, blazing away, oh, come along bring your worries round today.

We'll make a bonfire of our troubles and we'll watch them blaze away

we'll never worry should they come another day
