I bought a Speer simply because I wanted a "guest bedroom" and I considered it to be an absolute bargain at only $100. The materials are flawless, the workmanship is impecable, and the service is beyond reproach. I'm happy to pay a fair price for a quality product made in America. Beyond that, Ed Speer is a quality human who has gone well above and beyond the call of duty to promote and support our recreation activity and we should be happy to pay twice the price just to keep him in the game.

I have a Speer hammock with bugnet. It's meant for someone 6'5" tall, so it's a bit big for me and I've been thinking of selling it, since I tend to collect hammocks. But after this thread, I'm enlightened.

Thinking that the top of the wishlist item, the SnugFit was out of the budget.

Reading this thread, the many comments about the Speer's quality, service and the company,
brought my father's voice to my ears : buy quality and support locally (USA in this case ).
We will get the SnugFit soon.
