Granddaughter moved up to Fort Valley from central Florida last year. You didn't happen to have Thanksgiving Dinner with a bunch of other folks from Florida by chance? Probably not or you would have noticed my hammock in the living room.

I've driven by the place a number of times going to a friends house down the road, but never stopped. I should be able to make this, but will know better closer to the date.

No wasn't me. I did have Thanksgiving in the "Fort" though.

All,

I will be at the campsite area on Friday 30 March around 6pm.

I did some recon of the Massanutten trail area and here is the plan:

Park at the Bear Wallow parking lot (right across the street is the Elizabeth Furnace Campground). My vehicle is the tan land rover shown in the pictures. GPS coordinates for parking lot are: N 38.92452 and W 78.33227

Hike up the gravel road a few hundred feet and find a place to hang. I'll be hanging somewhere in this area.

I still plan on hiking a loop on Saturday and a different loop on Sunday.

See you all this Friday.

I will know tomorrow if I am a go. If I am, I will probably only be able to hang Friday night... Weather looks perfect for. A night in the trees. Are camp fires allowed there?
