Great video Shannan, looks beautiful! Yes I'll bring the DO and cobbler fixings x2. Planning on having steak or chicken for my dinners. Probably won't be eating much for lunch.

Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
I'm planning a few tinfoil, campfire dinners with Chicken & Rice. Richtorfla turned me on to these last spring In Richloam.
Thanks Rick...
Giving this a bump and placed it on the calender. Been refining the cobbler recipe, made one 2 nights ago. Just looked and it's gone. I only got one helping!

Sorry, folks, but I'm not going to be able to make this one. I'm already taking one Saturday off this month, for my wife's birthday. Getting a second one would be problematic.
Hope everyone has fun!
If you have time off during the week and want to come down for an overnighter let me know. I could be talked into meeting you after work (or you can head out there without me), head out to one of our camp sites for the night, and then since I wake up early anyway I could head back home and get showered and ready for work just like a normal morning.
I'm actually doing almost that exact thing this week but it is sort of work related (it's a tough job but somebody's got to do it, right?). There are two beautiful sites an hour and a half hike or less from my house (Islander and Shannan have been to both) so it isn't a problem at all. Just let me know if/when you might want to do that and the worst that can happen is that I can't make it.

Does anyone that is going to this hang have a little bit of extra tyvek? I wanted to get a 2 foot by 3 foot piece to put down as a door mat of sorts for my hammock. I figure the home supply stores probably don't sell it in sizes like that and I really don't think I need more than that for anything else.

Hey guys. Sorry I've missed out on a lot of the planning. My time has been in another direction. Anyways, I'll be happy to chip in a few bags of Publix firewood. They weigh a ton, but I don't think we have that far to hike in to the campsite. I'll bring along four bags that I have in the garage. Nice and dry, but not stacked like a cord.
If there is anything else, let me know. It should be a great weekend.
