    What is this???

    In this pic by 2Questions what is the black edge binding material, & where do you get it? It's on my Hennessy Hammock & seems a little like grossgrain just not as heavy?

    It's like grosgrain but I think it referred to as bias tape. Grosgrain is woven, like webbing, where bias tape, in my experience, is like a folded piece of fabric.

    Grosgrain is straight grain. Bias tape is bias grain. Bias tape will handle curves much more gracefully than grograin. Bias tape is often pre-folded but I have seen it flat.
