Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Men typically don't need much space to sleep in. We just sleep there. Then again, we claim rights to the remote control and recliner in the living room so you could say we commandeered the rest of the house, you might as well get the master bedroom. Call it 'The Hareem'. Just make sure you're the only occupant.

I’m single! The 1st BR is where I USED to sleep all cramped in my tiny twin bed. Now my gear is strewn across the 1st and 2nd BR’s and I sleep in my hammock in the back room where the 43” tv is!

Oh yea! Congrats to ya MrClean! I’m working on about a month now and don’t have ANY plans on going back to the bed!

Are we (hammmock’ers) the only sane sleepers on this planet?!?!

Single inside hanger (outside in the summer) for 2 1/2 years now. Started outside because house was too hot one summer, then when it got too cold outside (relatively--wimpy Californian here) couldn't hack bed sleeping. Moved my stand inside and the bed is now a storage platform. I fall asleep instantly and wake up limber. Love it!

ps, I've been giving her heck for the last month and a half about being pregnant. I've been giving her the evil eye. Telling her how much more fun for the older girl to have a baby to 'look after' and such. That sooner is better then later. "On no. Not only am I NOT pregnant I'm never having another!" She would adamantly proclaim.

But I knew even though she didn't, though this last 3 or 4 weeks she was wondering. It's that ESPN I have. It usually only works on sporting events. I knew Teebow was going down. I knew KU football was going to suck (like there was ever any question) and I knew she was pregnant. Something just off about her for the last two months. Something, pregnant.

So we were sitting here in my room, looking at the fish tank with the grand daughter and she came in and said 'I need to tell you something' I just said 'Yea, your pregnant. How many times in the last month and a half did I have to tell you'

    Twere funny for me.

    MrClean417 and Roadrunnr72,
Thank you for the completely candid answers. That was actually above and beyond what I was expecting. This is actually the first time I have seen someone state they are hanging indoors for good and aren't single, and I just couldn't help but ask. Right now my wife and I are pretty compatible (ie: we both snore. But don't tell her I said that.) so the only time we split up the sleeping arrangements is if one of us is sick. This whole topic can follow you out of the house as well since my wife likes to sleep in a tent, and I am an avid hammocker. Like SilvrSurfr mentioned this seems to be an anti-social activity. Back to the original question and comments, to me this is what makes a strong marriage, being able to accommodate your partners needs. More power to you, and congratulations on the permanent hang. It makes me want to take a nap just looking at it.
