Sounds to good to me. I'll be arriving after sunset Friday evening, then the easy night hike to the initial hang spot we were all at.
Then I'll just follow the group to where ya'll decide to hang Saturday evening. Works for me.
I'm planning to Ultra-Light my pack this coming trip. "Less than 12lbs"... Fingers crossed for water sources Saturday afternoon.

I'm planning on getting to the fire tower by 5:00 on Friday afternoon, and like Olddog, go east 0.5 miles on the blue trail to camp that night in that 1st clearing where we camped last March.

If I remember correctly, we hiked back to the fire tower Saturday morning to meet up with those just arriving on Saturday.

Yeah we did but if we're going ccw we could just wait at the Friday site and not back track. I may be going back to the tower anyway to deliever the Sherpa to TFCRick. Will have to coordinate with him on that. I'll be backpacking this trip so will try to lighten the load some. Saturday evening will be up on the Little Withlacoochee so hopefully there will be water unless the river's dry. Might need to drive up and check on the water situation before the hike.

I'm not going to be able to attend this hang. The 17-18 ended up being a training weekend for me with the marine corps reserve. But I am still very interested in meeting up with the Florida hammock crowd. If any more events get planned I will try my best to attend.

Sorry you can't make it EH and thank you for keeping us safe. If this winter keeps going the way it has this may be our last for the season. If we get a cooler spring samsara may have another on the Ridge.

Here is the Richloam Area Map. We are doing the north loop, part of which is on the Blue Blaze, the rest on the Orange FT. The Friday Night Spot is along that BB stretch marked "0.5" just above the "Richloam Fire Tower (Parking)" area. From there, we will head on the loop counter clockwise, so that we can make out Sat night camp somewhere up near the river so we have water. Does that make sense? I will see about caches, but no place leaps to mind.

This route sounds perfect. For me, it's important to have water near camp. I don't use a lot of water otherwise, so I don't have to carry a lot. I don't think we need to cache any water.
